The above verse from the Bhagvad Gita perfectly fits the ground situation in the youngest state of India, Telangana. It translates to, “Whenever and wherever there is a decline in righteousness , O descendant of Bharata, and a predominant rise of Adharma- at that time I descend Myself”.

On 2nd June, 2014, the Government of India accorded Telangana, statehood and since then the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has been misruling the state while misguiding the youth.

The party in power has imposed multiple restrictions and regulations pertaining to subjects like running of educational institutions and practice of religious and cultural values of Hindus, but has failed to regulate the unrestricted supply and sale of alcohol in the state.

Taking the misery of the citizens to another level, the government’s unpreparedness to handle medical emergencies was exposed when dengue took hundreds of lives in just a few weeks in the year 2019.

The high handedness of the TRS leaders is such that they are on a mission to wipe out any opposition by hook or by crook. Threatening leaders from opposition parties and booking them in false cases has taken topmost place on the list of TRS government’s agenda.

Come March 2020 and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) decided to turn a new page in the political sphere of Telangana State. The party announced Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Minister of Parliament representing Karimnagar as the new BJP Telangana State President.

Wind the clocks back to May 2019 and you will understand the significance of this appointment. The people of Telangana reinstated their faith in the BJP by sending 4 firebrand leaders to the LokSabha. This was a clear sign that the citizens were ready to embrace the idea of One Nation, driven forward by the wheels of development, transparency, inclusiveness and a non-dynastic governance.

High-octane would be the right word to describe the mood of BJP Karyakartas while welcoming Bandi Sanjay Kumar to Hyderabad. In his maiden speech after taking charge as the State President, the Karimnagar MP unleashed his fury on the Chief Minister.

In his maiden speech as party president, he targeted the state government for their inability to deliver justice to the victims of Bhainsa Riots that took place in February 2020.

The MP also gave a stern warning to Kalvakuntla Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) to maintain his distance from BJP cadre and leaders. Taking a jibe at KCR’s irresponsible approach in dealing with the Corona Virus outbreak, he pointed that the Chief Minister is an ignorant person who advises people to take paracetamol if affected with the disease.

Assuring all the BJP members that the party will come to power in the year 2023, he explained how he intends to cover every nook and corner of the state to understand the people’s concerns.

In conclusion, Sanjay Kumar reiterated that the countdown to Kalvakuntla family’s end has begun and ended the speech with chants of Jai Shri Ram and Bharat Mata Ki Jai!

BJP karyakartas were ecstatic and were rejoicing over Sanjay Bandi as party president
