Hyderabad: Masks compulsory or be ready to pay Rs.2,000 fine

GHMC has decided to make masks mandatory in the wake of the corona second wave in Greater Hyderabad. In Fatehnagar, a shop owner who allowed customers to enter the shop without mask was fined Rs 2,000.

The number of corona cases in the state is increasing day by day. The state government has taken strict action in the wake of the cases. As part of the implementation of the Covisd-19 rules Mask wear is mandatory.

In public places, workplaces and public transport vehicles, everyone has issued orders to wear mask. Those who do not wear maskare warned that action will be taken under Sections 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act-2005 and sections 188 of the IPC.

The laws have the power to impose a fine of Rs 2000 and a six-month imprisonment. The government also banned the holi celebrations in public. In addition, shab-e-Barat, Ugadi, Sriramnavami, Mahavir Jayanti, Good Pride, Ramadan and other festivals have been restricted till April 30.
