Are Maharastra and Rajasthan going to repeat Madhya Pradesh model ?
After the resignation of Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Madhya Pradesh government is facing its worst crisis as 20 MLAs including 6 ministers has resigned from Kamal Nath Government.
Rajasthan could be the next state after the Madhya Pradesh fiasco where the government is surviving on thin majority as Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot are not having proper understanding. The current strength of Rajasthan Assembly is 200 out of which Congress has the support of 112 MLAs and BJP has support of 80 MLAs. It needs support of 20 more MLAs to change the game in BJP’s favour.
As per sources, Sachin pilot has opposed the move to send Rajiv Arora, a Diamond merchant, to the Rajya Sabha as Gehlot proposed his name to top Congress leadership. He is keen to send party members to Rajya Sabha instead of sending Businessman which will send wrong signals to voters across Rajasthan.
In Maharastra, Udhav’s Government is running with support of Congress and NCP. All three have different opinion coming to CAA where Shivsena supporting it and Congress, NCP opposing it.
Many Shivsena MLAs are angry with Udhav Thackeray for forming Government with its rival Congress. They are waiting for signals from Delhi to join BJP bandwagon.
If BJP goes to Madhya Pradesh model, then Rajasthan and Maharashtra Government are also in danger.
